Casey Moskel | Client Spotlight

A note from Natalie: Casey is one of our all time favorite "Legacy" clients. I'm pretty sure we coined the phrase internally while describing how she just kept coming back to us. Her personality is unbeatable, her style impeccable, her heart larger than life, and her family is second to none. She also makes really beautiful children :) Below are a few of my faves from her shoots throughout the years, and then an interview by our intern Hannah McCarthy. Enjoy!

Casey, perhaps one of the busiest women in Rochester, is a mother of five children, a dedicated wife and an aspiring fashion blogger. She was able to take some of her (very little) free time to give me a call. Just a few minutes into our conversation, I heard a child on the line – Casey’s daughter, insisting on telling her mother something before going to bed. I was amazed at how much love and patience Casey’s voice carried, especially after an assumedly long day involving countless diaper changes, spilled cups of juice, and a whole lot of multitasking. Casey and her husband, Ben, are legacy clients of the studio: Casey said, “I met Natalie when my son was born four and a half years ago and we were looking to get newborn photos. I was working at the DA’s office on maternity leave and I saw Natalie’s ad in Pittsford. We went years ago, and we keep having babies and keep coming back.”
Casey was able to stay home alone with her first two children, but when her triplets came along, she and Ben decided they’d need some help. “I’m home with them obviously, and we found someone to come help out for a bit everyday. That way they can take the older ones out in the morning or whenever, or I can have the chance to run in the afternoon.” Just through the phone, I got a sense of what an amazing mother Casey is, and taking some time for herself is an instrumental aspect of that: “If you’re not happy your kids get the brunt of it.”
Casey’s latest venture is the world of fashion blogging. She says, “I haven’t really done it yet, I just have a logo,” but she hopes to begin this coming Fall, getting photos done with none other than the talented Natalie Sinisgalli. “I love what I did before as a prosecutor, but just recently as the kids have gotten older, I’ve wanted to do something else. I love fashion, I could online shop for hours.” Much like Casey, I follow several fashion bloggers and find the booming industry fascinating. Casey said, “Barefoot Blonde has, like, 1 million followers. That’s incredible, the number of people who read her blog.” Incredible is right, and we can’t wait to see what Casey’s blog has in store – with her passion and radiant personality, it’s sure to be a success.
This interview was conducted by our new Marketing/Communications intern, Hannah McCarthy, a rising sophomore at Elon University in North Carolina.
