Q: Tell us the story of how you met!

A: “Although Sean does not like to admit it... we matched on Tinder back in February 2013 (#SwipeRight!). He will tell you that we met at college, which is true in the end. We both attended St. John Fisher College and once we matched on Tinder, we both asked around about each other before going on our first date. Little did we know, our next semester we would have two classes with each other - we actually had the same majors!”

Q: What was the first date like?

A: “Well, Sean took me on a romantic date to Chipotle. Nothing like a good burrito and quesadilla haha! We actually went on lunch between classes and he acted like a true gentleman. He surprisingly ate slowly like a normal human would, but that behavior didn’t last long. He showed his true colors by the next date, since he typically eats like he is a vacuum or garbage disposal.”

Q: What makes him crush worthy?

A: “Sean puts others first before himself. I guess that could be what makes him a great firefighter and police officer. Although most will not see it, he does have an emotional, loving side to him. He is very protective of me and always makes sure that I come first.”

Q: What's your favorite story about the two of you?

A: “I’m not sure if I could pick just one story. My favorite part about our relationship is that we are able to laugh at each other and with each other. We have seen each other at our best and at our worst, but we wouldn’t change it for the world as we are each other’s biggest supporters.”

Q: When did you know you wanted to spend the rest of your life with this person?

A: “I think it was when I began to see more of Sean’s romantic side that I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. He had to go down to Virginia when he was debating on becoming a firefighter there, and he invited me to come with him. My first thought was “Oh my god. We have to spend HOW long in the car with each other?!” When we arrived to our hotel and got into our room, Sean surprised me with flowers in a personalized vase, chocolates, a cute teddy bear, and a dinner reservation at this amazing restaurant.”

Q: What are you looking forward to most in your future together?

A: “Well, we our expecting our first baby this July! We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives!”

Q: Tell us about the proposal!

A: “Unfortunately for Sean, I love horses… well any animal. Once I got back into horseback riding I bought my first horse just a month later. Poor Sean. But he knew the way to my heart - he actually used my horse for the proposal! He had my friend who I would occasionally ride with plan a lesson with me and my trainer. She is someone that he knew had a camera and loved taking photos. On January 10, 2018 after I completed my lesson with my friend, I began untacking my horse, and Sean had to point out the twine wrapped around my horse’s neck. At first I was mad because WHY would he put stuff on my horse? Well… attached to that twine was a beautiful engagement ring. The best part was that everything was photographed by my friend!”

Q: Tell us about your wedding day.

A: “Our wedding day was perfect for us! We had our ceremony and reception at POMONA at Blue Barn. I will say that the day did fly by and we wish we had more time! We had the BEST vendors from NSP, Kris & Kierst Salon, Rachael B Cupcakes, Justice Florist, and Encore Events.”
