We had THE MOST FUN hanging out with and photographing Sarah Heppel of Sarah Heppel Photography and Brand Bash because who wouldn’t?! The amount of color, sprinkles and rainbows she brought with her outfits and accessories are second only to her personality. She’s an incredible photographer based in the Syracuse area that, like NSP, offers branding photography for other entrepreneurs. We (and Sarah!) believe that one of the best ways to connect with your audience and ideal clients is to be open and authentic; show your face! Introduce yourself, share personal details, let people know who you are and why you do what you do. Sarah is using her images to do just that, and we are so honored! Being tasked with capturing another photographer’s spirit and personality was such an exciting challenge for us, take a look at what we captured, and thank you Sarah for trusting NSP!

Our solid color backdrops seemed like a perfect fit for Sarah’s color palette, they were so fun to use. And these might look like they’re shot in natural light but they’re not! We were using one flash bouncing into the white wall behind us and a huge reflector board on Sarah’s right hand side.

We always make sure to shoot some still lives of whatever products you produce, equipment you use, or even your business cards. They are super useful, especially as background or cover images on your website or social media. Including a detail like Sarah’s tattoos is a great way to add personality to an otherwise “boring” still life.

Sarah brought some super colorful supersized confetti, so you know we had to throw it all around. This one is in natural light. I love the ombre eyeshadow that Chrissy at Special Occasion Hair Design created for her.

The flash is bouncing off the window here and gave a cool ring light effect!

And you know Natalie HAD to have a little boudoir moment with all this confetti. Dang, Sarah, you are Gorgeous!

Sarah is also a very passionate potter! She popped into her apron for a few images featuring her super cute pots.

Lastly we worked on the white wall for a more neutral background, but Sarah’s colorful accessories and clothes still stand out!

What a fun shoot! Thanks for coming along, and Sarah thank you again for trusting us with your brand’s story!
